Only Franz…
I love a lot of bands. I adore the Arcade Fire, Ted Leo speaks directly to my soul, and of course, there is a hole in my heart shaped like Sleater-Kinney…those are a few of my favorites, the ones who have made a real impact on my life. For all that, though, only Franz Ferdinand can put a grin on my face with only a few chords (and make me want to strut like a total badass).
Yeah, I just got “Lucid Dreams,” which, in addition to “Ulysses,” will be featured on the next Franz Ferdinand album. This album, by the way, is the best album of 2009, simply on the merit of these two songs. If you haven’t yet gotten them, you can’t be my friend until you do.
